We had a case with a major scheduling error in Alaska. Biometrics were in Jueau, and then the scheduled interview was in Fairbanks for some reason. At the last minute, the client was given a notice that the interview was relocated back to Juneau on a later date, resulting in thousands of dollars in non-refundable travel costs.
We had the client travel to Fairbanks despite the change and on the day of the interview, the Fairbanks USCIS office was closed. We worked with the client to go to the USCIS office in Anchorage where a very kind supervisor took the interview and approved the adjustment of status. The supervisor indicated there are problems with many cases processing throughout Alaska at the moment, so proceed cautiously verify. What a mess.
