The growing pandemic continues to disrupt daily life for millions of people. Starting March 18th, 2020 The United States Customs and Immigration Services has suspended in-person services to help curb the spread of the virus. The suspension will last until at least April 1st, 2020. This includes all field offices, asylum offices, and application support centers.

The USCIS has canceled all asylum interviews and oath ceremonies.

Applicants and petitioners will receive a notice about the cancellation. However, Once regular operations resume, foreigners will also receive a new rescheduling notice with a date, time, and location. They will automatically reschedule all naturalization oath ceremonies and interviews.

All field offices will remain closed until further notice.

This includes the offices that collect biometrics. However, the USCIS website states that they will continue to work on all processing that does not involve person-to-person contact. 

There is a number to call in case of emergency situations.

In addition, they ask that if an applicant or petitioner feels sick at all to please not attend any meeting at a USCIS field office. They also recommend you reschedule an appointment if you are pregnant, immunocompromised, over 60, or have any underlying health condition.
